Breakout Boxes
Students are working collaboratively to reach a common goal - open all the locks on the box. They are given clues and must use problem solving and creative and critical thinking skills to open the boxes. Students have successfully opened several Breakout Boxes including the following.
Back to School - Students became familiar with classroom tools and rules.
Espionage - Students completed their last test as spies in training. After opening the box, they received information on their agency and missions.
Primary & Secondary Sources - In preparation of History Day research, 6th grade students completed a Breakout Box to learn more about primary and secondary sources.
Elf - Students got into the holiday spirit as they worked together to open the Christmas Breakout Box.
St. Patrick's Day - Two 6th grade students created a St. Patrick's Day Breakout Box for their peers to enjoy.
