Rubik's Rumble 2017
Rubik's Rumble
Nixa ALERT students hosted the 2nd Annual Rubik's Rumble. They have been learning algorithms and using problem solving and critical thinking skills in order to comprehend the cube. They competed against students from Branson and Republic in solo and team competitions. Jay had the overall best time solving the cube in 18.45 seconds with an average of 21 seconds! Gage took second in the solo rounds, solving the cube in 45 seconds. Mitchell, Gage, Parker, Jay and Ashlyn solved 20 cues in 3:51 taking first in the team competition. Markee placed first and Justice second in the "unofficial" competition.

Using 225 Rubik's Cube, 6th grade ALERT students created these marvelous mosaics.
